Care group launches recruitment drive for 3,000 staff

A Warrington-based care group is recruiting 3,000 staff to meet an increased demand due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Home Instead Senior Care is looking for the extra staff, including 500 in its North West operations, to continue to provide its award-winning care to the elderly and vulnerable throughout the UK.

Home Instead provides a range of care services including companionship, domestic, personal and specialist care, such as dementia and end-of-life to enable older people to remain living independently in their home for longer.

Home Instead’s army of CAREGivers, receive in-house training and the brand prides itself on offering a high quality of care.

Chief executive Martin Jones said: “The UK is under immense pressure due to COVID-19, and we want to ensure we can continue to commit to caring for our vulnerable older clients.

“We want to personally call on the community-spirit and kindness that is being demonstrated all over the UK right now, as those attributes are key to our workforce.

“We want to let you know that we are here for you and can offer you the opportunity of employment.

“If you are excited about the potential to make a difference to older people through relationship-led care, we urge you to step forward and join us in caring for the UK’s elderly in this unsettling time.”

Mr Jones is also chairman at charity The Silver Line, the UK’s only confidential, free helpline for older people.

Home Instead is mainly recruiting for CAREGivers who look after older people at home.

However, it is also recruiting for a smaller group of key players who support other personnel in the business operation such as care managers, recruiters and schedulers.
