Recruitment firm expands with new office ahead of anticipated recovery

As the economy begins to take steps to recovery, Recruit Right has announced it will open a new office in Liverpool.

The Birkenhead-based business, which is established in the region’s industrial, commercial and driving recruitment sectors, will add to its existing sites in Manchester and Blackburn.

A surge in online shopping, food manufacturing and the growth of regional transport and logistics operations has given the company a huge boost and is steering its 2020 plans for expansion.

Director Helen Cornah said: “The new Liverpool base will put us at the centre of the city’s drive to increase the local economy.

“Shopping habits have changed dramatically in recent months and signs are that these trends will continue.

“At this time of the year we would normally have around 300 temps working – that figure has currently reached over 400, with more temp bookings to fill over the coming weeks.

“Operating out of Liverpool will put us closer to many of our existing clients and candidates.”

She added: “This method of operation has been key to the expansion of our existing operations.

“In Birkenhead our proximity to a major call centre client has allowed us to successfully develop our on-site services to them, while in Manchester our driving division, supplying drivers for some of the biggest commercial and industrial concerns, continues to deliver the goods to keep the North of England moving.

“All this expertise will now be focused on bringing the same high-level service to our Liverpool clients.”

Recruit Right’s Liverpool base will be at Horton House in the city’s historic Exchange Flags business complex.

The decision to choose Liverpool as the business’s newest expansion target comes as Liverpool City Region sets up an economic recovery task force aimed at lifting the local economy in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic.

Before the pandemic struck, the region had the fastest gross value added (GVA) growth in the whole of England – at 3.5% – and well above average productivity growth.

Helen added: “The Liverpool Recruit Right team will be headed by a highly-respected recruitment professional with a 15-year background of working with blue chip clients.

“Their role will be to develop and grow the Recruit Right business so it can contribute to the resurgence of economic activity and the rebuilding of Liverpool’s economy.”
