£500m framework launched by procurement specialist

Huyton-based procurement organisation and social enterprise Fusion21 has announced the launch of its national material supply and associated services framework, worth up to £500m over a four-year period.

Designed to meet the needs of all public sector members in the housing, education, health, blue light, local authority and central government sectors, the framework will be closely aligned with market requirements and will comprise 10 Lots that will provide a flexible solution to enable social value delivery, effective cost management and performance reporting, as well as compliant direct awards.

With a wide scope under one single framework, the 10 Lots cover general building materials, electrical materials, plumbing & heating (including gas spares), managed services, local independent merchanting, roofing, kitchens, windows & doors, aids & adaptations and bathrooms.

Providing geographical coverage split as the four countries of the UK, the framework will allow suppliers to bid for the lots suited to their national delivery models and areas of expertise.

Peter Francis, director of operations at Fusion21, said: “Set for launch in November this compliant procurement solution has been developed in response to market demand – reflecting feedback provided from both our members and the supply chain.

“With clear responsibilities outlined for cost management, KPI and MI processes, this framework will support members to access materials at competitive pricing that can be tailored to their requirements.”

He added: “Members accessing this framework will benefit from greater efficiencies, support from technical procurement experts and an experienced supply chain, in addition to flexible call-off processes and social value delivery aligned to organisational priorities.

“We welcome applications from interested organisations that meet the criteria set out in the tender documentation now available on the Delta e-Sourcing Portal.”

The submission deadline is Friday, September 11, 2020 at 12 noon.

Fusion21 provides fully compliant procurement services to the public sector and is committed to making a difference in communities across the UK.

To date the firm has saved its members more than £225m through the procurement process, created 6,500 jobs and generated more than £80m of social impact.
