Investment management firm opens new office in Chester following key hires

Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has announced further growth plans with the opening of a new office in Chester.

The move represents a further expansion of the businesses’s high net worth (HNW) proposition and establishes another firm foothold in the North West.
This office complements existing locations in Manchester and Northwich.

The new location in the heart of Chester will be home to bespoke investment managers, financial planners and their client support teams, offering space for team expansion and excellent client facilities.

The office is based at Halladale House in Chester Business Park.

CBAM’s two recently appointed managing directors, Helen Gerrard and Nick Jackson, will be based at the new office, and will be joined by new hire Ed Brown, assistant investment manager.

Between them, Helen and Nick have more than 50 years of experience providing investment management services in the North West and beyond.

At CBAM, Helen and Nick will play key roles in supporting the continued growth of the bespoke investment management service, working closely with CBAM’s financial planners, professional intermediaries and other private client advisers in the region.

Following a recent succession of senior hires across both investment management and business development, the addition of the Chester office will continue to expand on the company’s ambition to strengthen and enhance its services to HNW individuals in the region.
