Housebuilder to create 127 homes on former brownfield land

Proposals for Arrowe Brook park

Regional housebuilder Bellway has acquired 12 acres of land in Greasby, a village on the Wirral Peninsula, and will deliver 127 new build homes, of which 102 will be available for private sale.

The redundant brownfield site located off Arrowe Brook Road, which formerly had a commercial use, will be transformed by the HBF five-star rated housebuilder into a stunning new residential development.

The new development will be known as Arrowe Brook Park.

It will comprise a selection of three- and four-bedroom homes, incorporating a mix of both semi-detached and detached properties.

All homes will be built to traditionally high standards, with garages and/or off-road parking and an excellent specification in line with Bellway’s Artisan Collection.

Planning consent has already been granted for Arrowe Brook Park, with demolition and remediation due to start immediately.

Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway, said: “The location of Arrowe Brook Park, less than a mile from the villages of Greasby and Upton, is perfect for families.

“With good schools and everyday amenities close by, and access to the picturesque Arrowe Country Park, the setting of this new development will be very much in demand.

“It is also conveniently placed for commuters, with direct links to Liverpool, Ellesmere Port and Chester. Plus, Arrowe Park Hospital is just half a mile away.

With a great range of properties planned for Arrowe Brook Park, we envisage plenty of early interest and enquiries for this new development in Greasby.”

In addition to the development, Bellway will make several significant financial contributions to the locality.

A total of £84,000 has been allocated to Section 106 contributions, including £63,500 towards the improvement of public open space and £20,500 towards highways.
