Estate agent acquires Cheshire practice

Andrew Hayes and John Halman

Cheshire estate agent, Gascoigne Halman, a Connells Group company,  has announced the acquisition of an estate agency practice in the Cheshire market town of Frodsham, for an undisclosed sum.

The office will be Gascoigne Halman’s 22nd location and adds to a network that covers Cheshire, South Manchester and the Peak District.

Andrew Hayes has been an estate agent in Frodsham for more than 20 years and has built up a practice with a strong track record in both residential sales and lettings.

He will lead the new Gascoigne Halman office.

John Halman said that the addition of an office in Frodsham sent a powerful signal to the market of the agency’s strong position in the residential market, saying: “In what have been unprecedented times, many estate agents have taken a backwards step, with merged offices and less local service.

“Our philosophy is completely the opposite.

“We believe that estate agency is a people business and that local knowledge, professionalism and dedicated customer service is what people deserve and require.

“Andrew’s track record in Frodsham is second to none and we are delighted to welcome him in to our business”

Peter Higham, Gascoigne Halman managing director, said: “Our recently launched office in nearby Tarporley has made a fantastic impact in the area already.

“The addition of Frodsham is the ideal geographical link and increases our presence further in this important part of Cheshire.

“We have no doubt that the expansion of our network will be of benefit to existing and new clients.”

As well as Tarporley, Gascoigne Halman has opened new offices in Chapel-en-le-Frith and Glossop in the past 18 months.
