Move opens up new opportunities for security door manufacturer

Elizabeth Mill

A Cheshire security door manufacturer and supplier has purchased and relocated to new premises in Congleton.

Doors4Security says it will create up to 10 jobs, and expects to incease turnover by 20% over the next 12 months as a result of the expansion following its move from its previous base in the town.

The firm, which has supplied various styles of steel doors including high security doors, fire doors and personalised doors to UK customers since 2001, acquired and renovated the 27,000 sq ft Elizabeth Mill in Congleton.

With the additional space and improved facilities, it will be able to increase stock levels by 40%, leading to a drive to target new markets across the UK, in addition to its existing export business.

Commercial manager, Alex Shatwell, said: “This move to Elizabeth Mill signals an exciting new chapter for Doors4Security and ensures we can go into the new decade positively.

“The business is coming up to its 20th anniversary and, obviously, trading has been affected by COVID-19.

“The completion of this investment signals a positive future for the business and we hope to celebrate more milestones in years to come from the new site.”

The move was supported by a six-figure funding package from HSBC bank.

John Paulson, the bank’s Liverpool & Cheshire relationship manager, said: “Doors4Security are proven specialist in their field, so when it came to relocating the business we were delighted to provide the support of HSBC UK.

“The company is well established in its field and has built a solid reputation as a reliable supplier.

“Following the move to new premises we hope Doors4Security can reach more customers in the future.”
