Property investment company RWinvest has expanded into Manchester in a move that will directly create 20 jobs and could lead to 200 more in the next five years.

The investment business currently operates from offices in London and Liverpool and will open a new office at MediaCityUK next month to support increased work in Manchester with its development partners, including Legacie Developments.

The buy-to-let specialist has delivered over £1bn into the UK investment market since launching in 2004.

Along with its development partners, it plans to invest £250m in the city in the next five years, creating 200 full-time construction jobs.

Julian Ramsden, director at RWinvest, said: “Our new base at MediaCityUK will see the creation of a significant number of new jobs over the next five years and will help us to attract millions in investment for a variety of forthcoming developments, such as Merchant’s Wharf which we just launched in Salford Quays.”

Lewis Francis, who will be managing RWinvest’s new Manchester office, added: “The population in Manchester is going to double in the next five years, so new housing and apartments are in high demand throughout the area.

“Our new developments in Manchester will provide luxury accommodation for young professionals and families, and the new Manchester office at MediaCityUK will be a great base for meeting investors and showing them around our exciting new properties.”
