Sold out development to be expanded thanks to second land deal

Counrtryside Wren Green, phase 2

Housebuilder Countryside has completed a land acquisition deal with Gorrie, for an undisclosed sum, for a site next to its existing Wren Green development in Bamber Bridge, South Ribble.

The second phase of the Wren Green development will comprise a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom homes available for private sale.

On completion, the new 93 homes will all feature spacious open-plan living spaces, private gardens, French doors, and skylight windows as standard. The site will also retain all existing trees and shrubbery.

As the 5.6 acre site already has detailed planning permission, Countryside is in the final process of appointing a contractor to carry out initial enabling works that are due to commence imminently.

After ground works are complete, the construction of the new development showhomes will get under way.

Mark Hadfield, managing director, partnerships Merseyside and Cheshire West, Countryside, said: “Our existing Wren Green development has proven extremely popular with local families of all sizes, and by extending this established development we know we’ll be offering much sought after quality homes which buyers in the region are looking for.

“With our existing development already established, and the surrounding neighbourhood in close proximity, too, our whole team, including subcontractors, will be focused on minimising disruption as much as possible.

“We will be taking measures to ensure the safety of children attending the nearby school by limiting plant and machinery deliveries to site after 9am and before 3pm and will also suspend site works at both of these times.

“We will have a thorough street cleaning schedule in place and, in addition, we will have our onsite health and safety officer who will be liaising with the community as the site takes shape.”

Offering excellent commuter links, with the train station a short walk away and the M6 accessible within minutes, the location off Wesley Street has proven popular with a range of buyers, including local families and first time buyers.

The development’s location also boasts a range of amenities including a baker’s, convenience stores, florists, bank branches, and a local Post Office. In addition, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and B&Q are all less than a mile away.
