Claire Quansah, Zoe Tatton, Sophie Steele from Social

Social, the Manchester-based integrated communications agency, has appointed Claire Quansah as its first head of client and business development.

She joins from Red Havas where she was previously operations director, as well as leading a number of corporate and B2B client accounts.

The agency said 2020 had seen a 15% increase in revenue. It has also promoted two longstanding team members to senior management roles to support this growth.

Zoe Tatton has been named as head of creative, leading the agency’s design, video, social media and digital services for clients including the National Lottery, UK Sport and George Clarke’s Council House Scandal.

Sophie Steele is now the group’s head of finance after nearly two years with the business.

John Quinton Barber, founder and group chief executive of Social, added: “It’s fantastic to welcome Claire, Zoe and Sophie to the senior team at Social at a time when we are experiencing continued high growth.”

Carrie Nestor, +24

Digital agency +24 has bolstered their team by bringing on board Carrie Nestor as operations director.

She has 15 years’ experience in project management and operations roles and has spent the last two years as operations director at Chorley consultancy Magma.

Nestor will be working alongside founder and managing director Dave Walker, and recent appointment Steven Emery, technical project manager.

Walker said: “2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and we feel very fortunate to have continued our strong growth and provide a glimmer of positivity by creating new job roles.

“I firmly believe the recovery of the economy next year will be heavily reliant on the digital sector which will lead to our biggest year yet but perhaps most importantly, the launch of The +24 Academy which aims to help reduce the devastating impact the digital skills gap has on the UK economy.”

Walker aims to further grow the Burnley-based business and is also planning to recruit senior software developer roles and a marketing manager.

Alex Waddicor, 21Digital

Blackburn digital agency 21Digital has appointed Alex Waddicor as web and graphic designer.

Waddicor brings with him over four years’ experience from previous roles as digital designer at Studio Retail and web designer at EKM.

21Digtial managing director Sam Fletcher said: “Throughout all the madness of 2020, we’ve stayed firmly committed to our ongoing development and expansion plans here at 21Digital.

“As part of those, we’re thrilled to welcome Alex onboard where he will be responsible for creating many of the beautiful visuals you’ll see on our clients’ sites, as well as our own social media.”
