Manchester advisory business snapped up by London group
Winning Pitch, the Manchester-based advisory business, has been acquired by London firm Newable, for an undisclosed sum.
Newable is a provider of workspace, money and advice to small firms.
Founded in 2005 by John Leach, Winning Pitch has a turnover of around £5m and is an advisory and entrepreneurial coaching firm, bringing proven insights and powerful solutions to help businesses across the North of England and Wales to scale and to build value.
With more than 30 years’ experience, Winning Pitch has supported in excess of 16,500 businesses and helped create around 28,000 jobs, with a particular focus on designing, delivering and managing complex high value business growth contracts on behalf of local and central government.
This includes key work on behalf of Lancashire County Council, West Yorkshire Combined Authority and the Welsh Government for large scale transformational projects.
The deal will facilitate significant growth, combining Winning Pitch’s public sector-driven expertise in the North with Newable’s track record which includes supporting more than 25,000 businesses every year and being the Department for International Trade’s delivery partner across London and the South East.
Newable offers a full suite of services to SMEs including business advice, lending and workspace through its NewFlex arm.

The shareholders of Winning Pitch were advised by corporate finance experts David Kendrick and Dominic Eccles of UHY Hacker Young and a legal team led by corporate partner, Stephen Hadlow at Brabners.
