Eddie Stobart changes name to Logistics Development Group

Eddie Stobart, the Warrington-based logistics company, has changed its name to Logistics Development Group Plc.

Following the conversion of the company to an investing company under the AIM rules and as outlined in its recent admission document, with effect from 8am tomorrow (February 10), trading on AIM will commence under the company’s new name.

It said shareholders should note that their shareholdings will be unaffected by the change of name, share certificates remain valid and no action is required by shareholders.

To reflect the company’s new name, the website address will be changed to www.ldgplc.com from 8am tomorrow.

The company said it expects to announce its results for the year ended November 30, 2020, before the end of March 2021 and to hold its annual general meeting on or about May 25, 2021.

It first announced its intention to change its name last December in a bid to put a turbulent recent past behind it after it had to be rescued a year previously by Isle of Man-based DBay Advisors.

Chairman Adrian Collins said at the time: “Today we have also announced that we intend to change the name of the company to Logistics Development Group plc.

“This marks our transition to a growth-focused investment vehicle whilst further delineating the company from the Eddie Stobart business, in which we hold an indirect interest and which, as previously announced, has returned to profitability and firmly put its past challenges behind it.”
