The 43 Castle Street office building in Liverpool’s Commercial Quarter has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment and repositioning programme to deliver more than 11,500 sq ft of prime, contemporary office space.

Acting on behalf of Merseyside Pension Fund, CBRE’s office agency team in Liverpool, alongside Hitchcock Wright and Partners, have brought to market new office space to help address acute shortages of quality accommodation in the city centre.

The expansive refurbishment works on the 43 Castle Street building were project managed by CBRE’s building consultancy team and included renovation of the entire fifth floor to create six office suites and a communal kitchen, as well as renovation of the reception, lift lobbies and on-site occupier amenities.

The six boutique-style suites offer more than 8,500 sq ft of first class office space, ranging in size from 419 sq ft to 2,797 sq ft. A fouth floor office suite of 3,040 sq ft is also available.

Situated within the Conservation Area at the northern end of Castle Street and directly opposite the southern end near the Victoria Monument and Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, Castle Chambers was originally constructed in the 1950s and now offers high quality office accommodation in an unrivalled location.

Surrounded by world class amenities, 43 Castle Street is within walking distance of the UNESCO World Heritage site, including the famous Royal Liver Building and Cunard Building, the commercial district of Old Hall Street and Exchange Flags and the historic Mathew Street.

At the heart of Liverpool’s vibrant waterfront it is a short walk away from the Royal Albert Dock and offers a blend of the old and new with everything from culture to cuisine.

Castle Street has become Liverpool’s premier destination for a diverse mix of restaurants, including award-winning San Carlo, as well as aspirational bars, cultural venues and prime retail at Church Street and Liverpool One.

Castle Chambers has excellent connectivity and transport links being close to James Street railway station and both Liverpool One and Queens Square bus stations.

Neil Kirkham, director, CBRE’s office agency team, said: “We are delighted to bring to market this modern, new office space at 43 Castle Street, a premier location which is rich in history and home to some of the most architecturally impressive buildings in the city.

” The range of prime office suites, coupled with the high quality refurbished amenities, along with the fantastic food and beverage and retail offer on the doorstep, will appeal to both well established businesses and those organisations looking to grow or expand into impressive, first class accommodation.

“Castle Street has seen significant public realm investment and a shift in recent years to provide an exciting food and beverage offer, mirroring a European café culture.”
