Agency takes new office space as it plans return to workplace
Manchester communications agency, FJC, has taken new office space in the heart of the city’s creative district as part of its preparations to return to work this spring.
The agency is moving from MediaCity UK to the Northern Quarter this month. Founder Vicky Fagan plans to spend most of her week working from the office, with her supporting team able to decide their own work base.
The move will allow FJC to work more flexibly and in a COVID-compliant way, with breakout spaces and more room to allow for social distancing.
FJC will be sharing office space with fellow creative agency Flow Creative, as part of a plan to increase collaborative working and promote knowledge sharing. The new office is based on Little Lever Street.
Vicky Fagan said: “The last 12 months have been incredibly challenging for many agencies, in varying ways. Moving to a new base is like putting a physical stop to the uncertainty of 2020 — I see it as our fresh start as we tackle 2021 head-on.”
She added: “FJC has got a bright year ahead. We’ve taken on a number of new clients and our projections for the year are strong. So, we wanted a new base in the heart of Manchester’s creative district to really lay out our store for the years to come.
“FJC is a long-time friend of Flow Creative and I’m really excited to be sharing space with them and It will allow us to bring another creative voice to the table when needed.”
FJC, founded in 2008, specialises in creating campaigns, events, animations, videos and design to support communication teams, and counts the Co-op, TK Maxx, Dixons Carphone, Rowlands Pharmacy and Greater Manchester Combined Authority among its clients.
The agency supports on communications projects from marketing content to transformation and change communications, concept and content through to delivery and ongoing support through all comms channels. It produces branding, design and print, strategic direction and general art working.
Vicky uses an agile team model to scale the project team as client work demands. She said: “The last year has proven that all businesses need to be adaptable. I’ve built FJC on the idea that teams can be brought together to meet specific needs, so that I always have the very best people for the job at hand.
“The pandemic served to show me just how beneficial this business model is.”
