More lettings announced at Zone 2 drive rents forward

Zone 2 on Deeside Industrial Park has announced new deals totalling 72,878 sq ft of industrial accommodation during the past six months.

Home & Garden Products has undergone an expansion and taken a total of 37,072 sq ft on two new leases.

Unistow has taken 10,093 sq ft on a 10-year lease, North West Roofing Supplies has taken 9,823 sq ft on a 10-year lease, Plancast has signed up to 5,707 sq ft on a five-year lease and Pups & Pets has moved from Dobshill to take 10,183 sq ft on a 10-year lease.

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with B8 Real Estate said: “There has been a marked uptake in space over recent months and these latest deals are driving the rents forward.

“There is only one unit of 5,000 sq ft available on the estate at a quoting rent of £6.75 psf, which had strong interest from potential occupiers and is currently under offer to a local manufacturer.”

He added: “For occupiers looking for bespoke accommodation, planning is already in place for two units measuring 63,205 sq ft and 39,762 sq ft.

“These options, coupled with our client’s ongoing investment in the asset and the financial assistance potentially available thanks to Deeside’s location within a Tier II Grant Assisted Area, means the park is an increasingly attractive proposition for businesses looking to expand.”

Deeside Industrial Park is off the A548/A550, two miles from the end of the M56 which provides access to the national motorway and road networks servicing North Wales and the North West.

Z2 comprises a 105-acre site providing 850,000 sq ft of industrial, warehouse and manufacturing accommodation.

Deeside is situated within a Tier II Grant Assisted Area and qualifying projects may be eligible for grant support.

Units are available on a leasehold basis.
