Italian Consulate says ‘Sì’ to Chancery deal as final space is let

The Chancery

Topland, represented jointly by Savills and Knight Frank, has let the second floor at The Chancery in Manchester city centre to the Italian Consulate.

The letting takes the building, which was acquired by Topland in 2019, to being fully let.

The Italian Consulate has taken 6,875 sq ft on a nine-year lease, joining the Spanish Consulate which is already located within the building on the ground and first floors.

Other occupiers at the property include financial consultancy Duff & Phelps and global recruitment group, G2V.

Located at Spring Gardens, The Chancery provides recently refurbished, boutique-style office accommodation in the centre of the city’s commercial district.

Surrounded by an array of high quality amenities from retail to top quality restaurants and boutique hotels, the property is prominently located with mainline railway stations just a short walk away.

Andrew Cooke, office agency associate director at Savills Manchester, said: “The investment from Topland into The Chancery, since its acquisition 18 months ago, has created standout, modern office space in a sought after location.

“It is testament to this that, in spite of the wider economic challenges of the past year, the building is now fully let.”

Steve Pope, group director property/asset management at Topland, said: “We are delighted to have leased all vacant accommodation at The Chancery during the pandemic to three excellent occupiers with Duff & Phelps relocating to the fourth floor alongside the two transactions with Spanish and Italian Consulates.

“This reflects the high quality of the space and unrivalled location of The Chancery and to deliver on our business plan within a short time frame post-acquisition is pleasing.”
