Appointments: CBRE boosts consulting team; DTZ promotes seven; and more

CBRE has appointed Andrew Purdon to its North West development and investment consulting team.
Purdon’s experience spans both the public and private sectors, with former clients including Manchester City Council, NWDA, Network Rail, Bruntwood and CTP/Development Securities.

DTZ has announced seven promotions in its Manchester office as part of a shake-up which has seen it promote 120 people globally.
Among the Manchester appointments are Jo Hindle from the HR team and Simon Lowe from the investment team who have both been promoted to associate director in Manchester, while David Beavis, Gabrielle Donnelly and Tim Russell have all been promoted to senior surveyor.
Mike Mitchell, managing director for DTZ’s regions outside London said: “In such a difficult market, the achievements of all these individuals are all the more special given how high the bar has been raised.”

A MAILROOM services company in Cumbria has taken on four new members staff members to cope with increased demand.
Totalpost Services has taken on three new staff at its Alston production department to meet demand for recycled and refilled franking ink cartridges.
The company, which has 27 staff, has also taken on 31-year-old Jamie Harrison in its IT communications department.
Seb Weaver, 30, Nathan Frazer and Ross Thomson, both age 18, have joined the Alston production factory which has a brand new filling machine as part of a £60,000 investment.
Totalpost’s managing director David Hymers said: “The company is going from strength to strength and these new appointments represent an upsurge in business from customers looking for a greener solution to their printing and franking needs.”
Totalpost was set up in 2002 and now sells more than 250,000 refilled cartridges to customers around the world.
