Three new tenants add to Royal Albert Dock mix

Three new businesses are joining the diverse retail and leisure offering at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, totalling an area of nearly 6,000 sq ft across the three sites.

These include traditional Turkish barbers Bu&Co, Maray’s new pub concept, The One O’Clock Gun, and bar and hangout, The Long Shot.

Located on The Colonnades, Bu&Co is an independent barber shop spanning 484 sq ft, offering a traditional Turkish barber shaving experience served with Turkish delights and specialty coffees as an added luxury.

Owned by Burak Uysal, originally from Istanbul, Bu&Co has built up a loyal customer following since launching in 2004 with its first branch in Bromborough, and second in Heswall.

Adding to the wet offering on the dock is The One O’Clock Gun, due to launch this summer in the Britannia Pavillion on the inner quay, taking over 1,738 sq ft.

From the team behind Maray, which is recognised as one of the city’s most popular independents, this friendly, local pub will be a modern take on a traditional pub, located next door to Maray dockside.

Further adding to the nightlife scene on the dock is The Long Shot, brainchild of Simon Thompson who owns Present Company bar on School Lane and was previously posted at acclaimed cocktail bar, Callooh Callay, in Shoreditch.

Due to open this month, The Long Shot will offer an approximately 220 capacity bar across two floors and 3,676 sq ft, complete with 11 large screens for watching sports, pool tables, and a menu of craft beers, expertly mixed cocktails and doorstop sandwiches.

CBRE Global Investors director, Alice Pendleton, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming these three new independent businesses to the dock this summer, each of them complementing the existing retail and leisure mix.

“Visitors both local, UK and international continue to have Royal Albert Dock at the top of their list when visiting Liverpool and the UNESCO World Heritage Waterfront.”
