Marketing agency relocates to reflect growth and enable safe return to work

Liverpool digital marketing agency Castle, formerly Verb Marketing, has moved to new offices in the centre of the city.

The firm has relocated the short distance from Brunswick Street to Castle Chambers, on Castle Street.

Castle, which recently rebranded from Verb Marketing, has moved to a 6,700 sq ft office which, it says, fits with its new brand image and represents the rapid growth it has experienced in the past year, more than trebling in size and making it one of the fastest-growing agencies in the UK, it claimed.

Chief executive, Dean Currall, said he plans to make Castle “the dominant force within the North West in the marketing sector.”

He added: “A lot of this growth has come from the continued results we have delivered for clients during one of the most challenging times in economic history.

“This is an exciting time for Castle, and looking to the future, our aim is to continue accelerating our growth to become one of the biggest and most successful marketing agencies in the UK.”

Castle has quickly outgrown its previous office, and the move has allowed it to bring all its 50+ staff back to work for the first time since lockdown started in March 2020.

Tristan Folkard, Castle managing director, said: “We wanted to create a brand, an environment and have the facilities to support where Castle is at now. We’ve changed so much in just the past year.

“The rebrand and new office are much more fitting to who we are as a company.”

He added: “It was important for us to get this new office space so that we could bring all the staff back in. It’s been a really difficult year for many of us adapting to working from home and spending a lot of time isolated.

“Because of our growth, we quickly outgrew our old office space. Most of the staff have wanted to come back for some time now, so, I’m excited to finally have a great space for us all to be back together.”

He said as soon as they saw the premises last year they could immediately see the potential and as soon as the lease had been signed work started on the building to make it into the perfect workspace for the team to work together productively, as well as making it into a space that represented what Castle has become.

Mr Folkard added: “Castle Street is the perfect location for us, right in the heart of Liverpool’s commercial district. And it helped to inspire our rebrand.

“Also, we’re aware Liverpool’s commercial office market took a huge hit during the lockdown, and we’re glad we can do our bit to support its recovery.

“Our new office on Castle Street is a great environment for existing staff as well as an enticing arena for recruiting the best marketers in the country.”

A staff survey found that more than a third found it difficult working from home, and 80% missed working in an office environment during lockdown.

Mr Folkard said: “Our staff’s mental health is so important to us, and over this past year we made sure that we checked in regularly with them and listened to their feedback. This included reopening our previous office as soon as restrictions allowed so that those who were really struggling at home could return to the office.

“Unfortunately, our old office was far too small to accommodate all the new staff members who have joined the team over the past year alongside our existing staff. And it no longer represented our brand.

“Finding an office that could fit everyone in safely, accommodated continued growth and provided a great environment for our staff was a huge priority for us. I believe we have found the perfect place on Castle Street.”
