Souter PR acquired by Jargon PR giving it regional presence

Jargon PR has acquired North West PR specialists Souter Public Relations giving the Hampshire agency a presence in the region.

Sue Souter, founder of Souter PR will join to Jargon PR as associate director and will report to CEO, Simon Corbett.

Jargon PR billed fees of £1.4m in FY:2019-20 and the acquisition of Souter PR will support the agency’s growth trajectory, as it targets annual fee income exceeding £2m this financial year.

Jargon PR will welcome Souter PR’s portfolio of clients including Docutech, providers of a secure system for document storage, Kemtile, a leading specifier and installer of hygienic flooring and drainage systems, Leonard Curtis, which provide businesses with strategic advice, Roberts Bakery, UK-based bakery chain and Everyday Loans, a direct loan lender.

Simon Corbett said: “The team at Souter PR brings with them impressive experience and contacts, as well as a client base of exciting and innovative businesses across the technology and business-to-business market.

“Today’s acquisition will place the Jargon PR team at the heart of this incredible community, aligning the agency with the UK Government’s ‘levelling up agenda’ that continues to drive growth, investment and innovation across the region.”

The news comes after a successful start to 2021 for Jargon PR. Since January 2021, the agency has been named as ‘B2B Agency of the Year’ and ‘PR Agency of the Year’ Winner at the Global Agency Awards, achieved the Investors in People ‘We Invest in Wellbeing’ Silver Accreditation and has welcomed new clients including 4D Data Centres, Loud Mouth Media, and Digitopia.

The acquisition of Souter PR is the second for Jargon PR in the past nine months, following the acquisition of Welsh agency Vantage PR in November 2020.
