Legal marketing specialist recruits 20 staff after doubling market share

South Manchester-based legal marketing agency mmadigital has doubled its market share to 20,000 enquiries a month after a huge surge in enquiries since lockdown restrictions eased, resulting in a recruitment drive.

The claim enquiries market has been hit hard by the pandemic and has been in decline since March 2020 with people isolating at home and offices closed, although it has seen some areas of growth, such as occupiers’ liability and public heath liability, as people spent more time outdoors.

As the market starts to recover, mmadigital is now fielding 10,000 more enquiries a month for 100 law firms around the UK through its contact centre, and the team has grown from 25 to 45 employees in three months across digital, marketing and call handling.

As well as 10 new call centre staff the company has made a number of internal promotions including Jonathan Corris, who is now senior marketing manager, and Emily Ashley-West, who is now contact centre manager.

The company has recently relocated to new 3,000 sq ft offices in Ballbrook Avenue, Didsbury to accommodate an 80% larger workforce as well as existing team members returning to office work after lockdown.

Furthermore, the company has recruited two new directors to bolster its senior team of seven to support an ambitious growth strategy, which includes growing the business by £5m in 2021.

Mmadigital’s new director of operations is Mark Blundell (43) and head of business development is Kyle Stubbs (47), who between them have 40 years of legal and claims experience.

The UK claims management industry is worth more than £400m a year and mmadigital is forecast to hit a £30m turnover by 2025, which will include the recruitment of an additional 100 staff.
