Latest takeover completed by utility and infrastructure specialist

Utility and infrastructure services provider, Network Plus, has acquired EOS Contracting, for an undisclosed sum.

This is the second acquisition completed by Worsley-based Network Plus during this financial year and supports the group’s diversification strategy.

In June the company acquired Capital Traffic Management, which operated across London and the South East.

Established in 2013, EOS Contracting delivers arboriculture and infrastructure vegetation management services.

Based in Ledbury, near Hereford, it operates across the Midlands and the South East and has secured a number of strategic, long term contracts with utility and infrastructure asset owners.

The acquisition strengthens the service offering of Network Plus to the UK’s distribution network operators by providing complementary solutions including specialist vegetation surveys and arboriculture activities.

Sam Atherton, group business development and strategy director, said “This acquisition opens up an exciting new market to Network Plus and complements our existing overhead line operations.

“In adding EOS’s skill sets and expertise, we can offer more intelligent delivery solutions to our electricity clients, minimising network outages, reducing disruption to customers and increasing overall efficiency.”

He added: “EOS supports a number of the UK distribution network operators, and a range of clients within the civil engineering, rail and highways markets. We are excited to explore these additional markets and maximise the business’s potential.

“As with Capital Traffic Management earlier this year, we will now work closely with the management team to enable a smooth integration into the group.”

Key personnel at EOS Contracting, including operations director Alex Gurney, will remain with the organisation to ensure continuity of service to clients.
