Housebuilder launches its first Lancashire scheme after stepping in to save project
Elan Homes is moving into Lancashire and has just launched its first development in the county.
Wrea Green Meadows, in Wrea Green, was the second Lancashire site to be acquired by the Ellesmere Port-based homebuilder, but is the first to launch.
The firm stepped in to rescue the stalled development in April this year, acquiring the part-built site after work had ceased when the previous developers, Hollinwood Homes, went into administration in October 2019.
Located off Bryning Lane, it offers a choice of three-, four- and five-bedroom homes in the sought-after Fylde village.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Wrea Green Meadows is an exciting project for us as it’s our first development to launch in Lancashire.
“We acquired the land after the previous developers went into administration and would like to reassure local residents and potential purchasers that we’re committed to completing the site and providing high quality homes befitting of the location.”
She added: “Elan may be a new name for the area, but we are an established homebuilder with a proven track record, having built across the North West and beyond for more than a decade.
“The homes at Wrea Green Meadows will be finished to the same exacting standards buyers have come to expect from Elan with a superb specification as standard.”
Elan is selling 28 homes at Wrea Green Meadows. Current prices range from £274,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Fenton-style property. A Sandringham-style show home is open for viewing at the development.
Subject to build stage, buyers will be able to choose from a range of options to personalise their property prior to moving in.
Marie added: “As a general rule, if you reserve your new home before the roof is fitted, you will be able to embrace the fun of making it your own right from the start by choosing from a range of standard and upgrade options including the kitchen finish, bathroom tiles, wardrobes and flooring.”
The homes at Wrea Green Meadows enjoy an idyllic location, with the site bounded by open countryside on two sides.
The central village green and other local amenities are a five-minute walk away, plus the highly desirable Victorian seaside town of Lytham is only four miles, or a 10-minute drive, away.
