Swiscot expands with new fashion offering

Manchester based textiles and commodities trading firm, Swiscot Group, is expanding into fashion clothing and accessories for the first time in 2022.
Led by serial entrepreneur CEO Vikas Shah, the business has started supplying fashion clients with white label and private label products including jersey, knitwear, outerwear, denim, hosiery and accessories.
Since 1968, Swiscot have been a key partner in the supply of textiles to a diverse range of markets ranging from high street retailers to hotels, universities, restaurants, gyms, cruise ships to airlines.
During the pandemic, the group also supplied textiles for the Nightingale hospitals.
It operates from a state-of-the-art facility in Manchester, and four storage & logistics centres including a 10,000 sq ft distribution centre in Dublin.
The group aims to offer a “speed-to-market retail solution” by cutting lengthy lead times thanks to in-house design and a “robust supply chain”.
Vikas Shah said: “Manchester is a cultural melting-pot, and home to amazing talent in design, fashion, garment technology and textiles.
“It’s by bringing together all these different worlds, right here in Greater Manchester that we’re excited about the future of these new brands.”
Nadia Thiare, head of sales (retail and brands) at Swiscot Group, added: “We’re creating clothes that fit today’s lifestyle – for women who work hard, work-out, have active social lives, but also value their rest and relaxation time.
“We’re committed to sustainability, great design, and creating fits for the huge variety of body shapes out there!”
