Global furniture and interior design brand to open Liverpool outlet
Property group Grosvenor, which owns the Liverpool One retail centre, has revealed its latest tenant.
Timothy Oulton, the British furniture and interior design company, will open a 3,200 sq ft store on the site’s Peter’s Lane in April.
The new Timothy Oulton gallery will feature the brand’s full range of original furniture, from sofas to bar cabinets, showcased alongside home accessories such as rugs, mirrors and wall art, and a comprehensive lighting range.
Alison Clegg, managing director, asset management, Grosvenor, said: “Timothy Oulton is another great addition to Liverpool One, providing visitors with a wonderful selection of uniquely designed high quality homeware and accessories.
“They join Clarendon Fine Art, Rox, Jo Malone, Mint Velvet, Nespresso and The White Company in reinforcing the status of Peter’s Lane as the region’s leading destination for premium lifestyle brands.”
Tim Oulton, founder of Timothy Oulton, said: “As part of our global expansion plans for 2022, we’re excited to be launching a new gallery in Liverpool One.
“We’re joining a number of like-minded brands on Peter’s Lane, where the atmosphere and style of the space is the perfect complement to our focus on hand craft, attention to detail and high quality design.
“We’re lucky enough to have some fans of the brand here already, and hopefully we’ll be able to bring something a little bit different to Liverpool.”
Hailing from Manchester Tim Oulton started out in his dad’s antiques shop, before later taking over the business and repositioning it to focus on furniture design.
Every piece is made meticulously by hand using simple tools and time-honoured techniques. The brand’s first store opened in Los Angeles in 2008, and more than 40 galleries are now located around the world from New York to Auckland, with a global flagship in London at Bluebird. Several further openings are planned for 2022.
The signing of Timothy Oulton follows the announcements of Russell and Bromley signing on South John Street and the opening earlier this month of Rituals, also on South John Street.
CBRE and Metis acted for Liverpool One. Paddy McCormack & Co represented Timothy Oulton.
