US patent secured for data software firm

A software provider to the global petrol retail sector has secured a US patent for its technology which will help its customers make better data driven decisions.
Manchester-headquartered Kalibrate Technologies provides strategic advice, analysis and software for the retail and fuel industries across the globe including North America, Europe, India and Africa.
It was recently granted a US patent for a new innovation which provides clients with data aggregation of higher frequency pricing information.
This helps customers to make informed decisions but “significantly improves” the operation of data architectures when it comes to more complex data requirements.
Oliver Shaw, CEO at Kalibrate Technologies said: “The patented invention is especially important for the big data environment of retailers across markets, customers, location and optimization needs.”
Gareth Owen, VP Research & Development at Kalibrate, co-inventor of this patent, added: “This award is a consequence of substantial efforts within our R&D and data science organization. It is a great testament to our focus on innovation and it showcases our company’s expert know-how in data management.”
Kalibrate Technologies, a University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) spin out, has a portfolio of patents or patent applications covering critical IP product and solution domains.
