International law firm CMS has been named as the latest commercial partner for Lancashire Cricket.

The multi-year deal will see CMS branding at Emirates Old Trafford and engagement with the club’s supporters.

CMS has more than 70 offices in around 40 countries and 4,800+ lawyers, providing a wide range of legal services to some of the world’s largest and most dynamic businesses, across most industry sectors.

The firm has a strong presence in the North of England, with offices in Sheffield and Liverpool and approximately 120 people in its Manchester office.

Daniel Gidney, chief executive at Lancashire Cricket, said: “We are thrilled to have CMS on board as the latest partner of the club, recognising the unique branding opportunities that we can provide to multiple audiences.

“This is an exciting partnership for us and a fantastic opportunity to work with a like-minded organisation with significant international reach who share our brand values and long term vision.”

He added: “With seven days of international cricket as well as a packed domestic schedule all set to be played at Emirates Old Trafford this summer, CMS’s in-bowl branding will receive exposure on a global scale.”

The CMS Manchester office is headed by partner Mark Haywood, who said the partnership is an excellent opportunity for the firm: “We are always looking for partners who have deep roots in Manchester, yet have a truly global reach.

“We have had a partnership with Halle Orchestra for several years, our new relationship with Lancashire Cricket Club and Emirates Old Trafford complements that perfectly.

“We are looking forward to having many great days out with clients and staff this summer whilst supporting this iconic northern venue.”
