Helsby environmental, engineering and technical services business, RSK Group, has completed its latest acquisition.

The group has closed a deal for construction project and cost management consultancy, Fellows, which was founded in 2013 and has offices in Birmingham, London and Bournemouth.

It says this will further expand its geosciences and engineering division’s capacity to deliver high quality expertise across both the public and private sectors, for projects ranging from residential and commercial to industrial, education, healthcare, retirement, retail and leisure.

The business has a strong blue-chip client base. Its key clients include Seven Capital, Lok’nStore, BIMM, E.ON, Birmingham Metropolitan College, Caterpillar (CAT) and Platform Housing Group.

Its award winning team of 18 professionals are renowned for their commerciality and deliverability, and provide a range of construction consultancy services encompassing project and cost management.

Joint managing directors, Steven Handley and Jonathan Dronsfield, both chartered surveyors by profession, will continue to lead the business as it joins the RSK group.

Steven and Jonathan said: “Since inception, the whole team at Fellows have been on an incredible journey of opportunity and growth, working with our exceptional client base. We will continue to lead Fellows through this exciting next phase.

“We believe there are many synergies between the businesses, and RSK’s technical excellence across a range of services and sectors will be of significant interest and benefit to our clients, industry partners and, most importantly, our professional team.”

Alan Ryder, founder and CEO of RSK, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Fellows into the group as they are a fantastic group of people and very well respected by their clients. As we got to know the leadership team at Fellows, it was clear that their culture is much like our own, so I am confident that, together, we will thrive.

“As is our position with all businesses in the group, Fellows will continue to operate as it is now, retaining its leadership, brand and general ways of working while exploring the opportunities that come with being part of a larger group.”

The deal is the 29th acquisition of the current financial year for RSK.
