Bank’s six-figure funding deal drives mobile vehicle cleaning business

Sam Williams

A six-figure support package from banking group HSBC has funded the acquisition of a mobile vehicle cleaning shop in Warrington by Autosmart franchisee, Sam Williams.

Sam joined the firm in November 2017 as a field sales manager and will use the funding to support start-up costs for his own mobile franchise.

This includes the purchase of a mobile showroom, which allows Autosmart to sell its products directly to customers, as well as stock consisting of more than 300 of the franchise’s range of vehicle cleaning products.

He will also use the funding to support social media marketing efforts to establish, grow and maintain Autosmart’s presence in Warrington.

Later this year, he hopes to invest in a second showroom, enabling him to serve more customers in the region and grow his Autosmart mobile shop business.

Sam said: “Having worked for the company for four years, I’m extremely excited to be taking on this mobile franchise in Warrington as the owner.

“HSBC UK’s support has been invaluable in allowing me to invest, which has already helped with customer conversations and sales.”

Molly Ting Jahans, relationship manager at HSBC UK, said: “Autosmart has been recognised by the British Franchising Association as one of the best van franchise opportunities in the UK, so we’re delighted to have been able to help Sam’s embark on this new venture in Warrington.”

Established in 1979, Autosmart is the UK and Ireland’s largest manufacturer and distributor of professional cleaning products for trade customers with a network of more than 155 mobile supermarkets.
