New Peel and Northstone headquarters at MediaCity UK complete

Consensus Workspace has created a new HQ for Peel L&P, Northstone and Peel Media who run MediaCity, in part of the former Booths site at the heart of the creative, digital and tech destination.

The £1.6m project involved a complete strip out of the old retail and office unit.

The Altrincham team then fitted glazed partitions for office areas with new flooring, ceiling and wall finishes throughout, and created a gym, kitchen, WC block, meeting rooms and open plan breakout spaces.

Andy Plastow, director at Consensus Workspace, says: “This is a very high-profile location which is now home to MediaCity’s new Co-op store as well as new office space for Peel L&P. It provides an excellent office space – and by using natural, sustainable materials, making the most of the natural light and fitting a gym, we have made it into a great space for both hybrid and full-time office-based working, with a real focus on employee wellbeing.”

Chris Reay, MediaCity property director, added: “We have now worked with Consensus Workspace on a number of office refits and refurbishments. They understand the needs of MediaCity and as experts in commercial office spaces, recognised the requirements of our team.”

This is the sixth refit Consensus has completed at the creative and digital hub.

The company has also just completed a large space in Tomorrow and was part of the team that created the award-winning Box on the Docks.
