Hotel Football brews up cafe investment

The cafe at Hotel Football in Manchester is set for a revamp.

Following a year of rapid growth, the hotel said it has now put plans in place for a full refurbishment of Cafe Football to help build guest engagement.

The venue has also upgraded its current technology systems within the meeting and events spaces in order to improve the delegate experience.

The news comes as Hotel Football reported a record year, seven years after launch.

It said more than £200,000 has been raised for charity and there are now more than 200 staff working across the site.

The venue also hailed record-breaking match-day hospitality figures.

Since its launch, the hotel has welcomed more than 260,000 guests, donated 3,500 room nights to NHS workers during the pandemic and has seen 50,000 people walk through the doors on match days.

Jessica Southworth, director of sales and marketing, said: “Since launching Hotel Football seven years ago we have had incredible success and we are delighted to see how much the venue has grown and how much we have been able to develop our offering. We have an exciting calendar of events coming up and we are really looking forward to watching our team expand as we continue to strive to position Hotel Football as not only one of the greatest sporting hotels in the country but as a leading destination for corporate delegates, families and tourists.”

Hotel Football is situated across the road from Old Trafford. It provides 133 rooms as well as housing Cafe Football, OTSC and five events spaces including indoor roof-top football pitch Heaven.
