Budget carrier resumes Liverpool link with main Paris airport

Budget carrier easyJet is to resume its link between Liverpool and Paris, with a new winter route launching in October.

The low-cost airline last flew the route in March, 2020, and then suspended flights due to the pandemic. It reinstated it briefly to fly Liverpool fans to Paris for their Champions League final with Real Madrid in late May this year.

Now, it has announced that flights to Charles de Gaulle Airport will re-commence on October 30, and continue throughout the winter season.

The link will operate weekly daily departures to the French capital, which is a popular city break with the airport’s passenger base.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We’re delighted to be resuming our Liverpool to Paris service for this winter, offering our customers more choice to enjoy an even greater range of destinations at fantastic low fares, across our unrivalled European network.“

A Liverpool John Lennon Airport spokesperson welcomed the additional link, saying: “The new route will complement our existing twice-weekly service to Paris Beauvais Airport.”

Liverpool currently supports 25 easyJet routes.
