Prominent Greater Manchester industrial estate snapped up for £15m

Swan Lane Industrial Estate

A Wigan industrial site has been snapped up by the Midlands-based Richardson group.

Swan Lane Industrial Estate in Hindley Green has been acquired from Melburg Capital for £15m.

The prominent multi-let industrial estate, strategically positioned between the M6 and M61, is made up of four industrial units and one multi-let office building totalling 294,168 sq ft.

It is already fully let to five tenants, including Product Care Trading, Kartell UK and Prowood.

The total site area extends to 14.41 acres.

Lambert Smith Hampton acted for the purchaser whilst Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers and Tudor Real Estate advised Melburg Capital.

The acquisition is part of the Richardson family office’s wide reaching real estate portfolio.

This includes the Plantation Park multi-let freehold park on the Wirral, which was acquired earlier in 2022.

In addition, interests are held in the McArthurGlen West Midlands Designer Outlet, the Tower Works development in Leeds City Centre and the £300m Newcastle Gateshead Quays waterfront arena, conference and exhibition centre.
