Construction to start on £65m Liverpool residential scheme

Widnes property developer, Sourced Development Group, said work is set to begin on its £65m residential scheme for Liverpool.

It acquired a site close to the city centre, with planning consent for 310 apartments.

Designed by architects Jennings Design Associates, the scheme will comprise a mix of spacious one- and two-bedroom apartments.

With phase one of the development due to start this year, Sourced will deliver Grosvenor Square, which will be set out across four, nine-storey buildings.

The communal facilities for residents’ sole use feature landscaped gardens, parking facilities, working space, secure bicycle storage and also boast a 24-hour reception/concierge service.

Responding to a rise in housing demand due to the city’s ever growing population, the scheme will create more than 200 jobs while providing redevelopment to the currently unused site.

The new development is located in the Bevington Bush area of the city, overlooking Liverpool John Moores University’s James Parsons Building and the new Merseyside Police headquarters.

The site is in easy walking distance of the city centre and Liverpool’s iconic dock area.

Sourced plans to deliver 1,600 homes across the North West over the next three years.

Other developments include Westminster Park, a 614-apartment development, which is currently in the early stages of construction just seconds from the neighbouring Grosvenor Square site.

Located in the city’s key regeneration zone, Grosvenor Square is within easy reach of the famous Royal Albert Dock, which has become one of Liverpool’s most celebrated hotspots.
