Plant Impact clinches deal for new territories

ORGANIC fertiliser group Plant Impact has agreed a development and distribution deal for its crop nutrient products that more than doubles its territory to 52 countries.

The Preston-based company has agreed the deal with Arysta LifeScience for its InCa, Balance and Cocoa Stress Tolerance products, increasing their commercial potential.

The agreement, which gives Arysta exclusivity to evaluate the products until March 2011, covers countries in North America, Central and Latin America, Europe, Africa and the Far East.

Plant Impact said it would significantly increase field trial development of its crop nutrient products as Arysta LifeScience is planning 350 field trials over the next 12 to 18 months, taking the total number of field trials to 500.

Following evaluation, Arysta will register the products locally, and market and distribute them on an exclusive basis.

Pete Blezard, chief executive of Plant Impact, said: “With this agreement our company has significantly expanded its route to market and continues to prove efficacy and commercial viability.”
