Sports nutrition group appoints chief financial officer
Science in Sport, the sports nutrition firm, has appointed Daniel Lampard as chief financial officer, with effect from October 19.
He is currently the chief financial officer of Unbound Group, an omnichannel direct to consumer business that includes Skelmersdale-based Hotter Shoes.
Prior to this, he was chief financial officer of Direct to Consumer at Glanbia Performance Nutrition, a rapidly growing online sports nutrition business.
Previous roles include director of finance at Bolton-based online electrical retailer, AO World, and senior finance roles at Manchester Airport Group.
Dan is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and trained at KPMG.
He will succeed James Simpson, who has now left the group. Greg Edwards, a highly experienced CFO, has been appointed interim chief financial officer until Dan commences his role.
AIM-listed Science in Sport is a premium performance nutrition company serving elite athletes, sports enthusiasts, and the active lifestyle community.
In July this year it opened a new £7.2m manufacturing and logistics hub in Blackburn.
Chief executive, Stephon Moon, CEO, welcomed Dan to the group, saying: “His sector-specific experience in performance nutrition and deep insight of online businesses will substantially strengthen the executive management as we move into our next growth phase.”
