Acquisition of fire safety firm will extend Northern reach for growing business

A Lancashire fire prevention firm has been acquired for an undisclosed sum.

Vulcan Fire, based in Rochdale, is now part of EA-RS Group, a provider of fire and security systems and services.

Vulcan is the eighth company EA-RS Group, based in Oldbury, West Midlands, has acquired since an initial investment in 2021 by the Richardson family business and Rockpool Investments.

It follows the successful acquisitions of CCSS Fire & Security, AST London, UK Security Doors, Crane Communications, Firesec Compliance, Air Projects, and Essex Fire Sprinklers, and is in line with the group’s buy and build strategy to consolidate the UK fire and security market.

Vulcan offers full fire safety solutions to clients across the North of England, with experience in a variety of sectors such as nuclear facilities and power generation.

The company also offers passive fire protection, fire risk assessments and annual fire door inspections, which complement the group’s strategy.

EA-RS Group said this latest acquisition will further enhance its national coverage, presenting more opportunities and increasing its presence in the North of England.
