Woodbank Office Solutions has expanded its reach following the acquisition of Datatech Systems, for an undisclosed sum.

Stockport-based Woodbank also has offices in Liverpool and Leeds. It is one of the North’s key suppliers of Konica Minolta, KYOCERA and SHARP document solutions, office photocopiers, printers, and integrated business solutions.

It has now expanded its influence with the takeover of Datatech, which is based on the Croft Business Park in Bromborough, Wirral.

Datatech is a specialist provider of print and document management, printers, photocopiers and scanners.

Janet Bowden, Woodbank managing director, said: “We’ve been looking to expand our business for some time and when the opportunity arose for us to acquire Datatech, it was evident that they were a natural fit for us.

“We share the same values and approach, allowing the acquisition to be a smooth and seamless transition for us and Datatech customers.”

The acquisition includes Datatech engineer Jon Toner, joining Woodbank, allowing both firms to continue providing quality service and support to customers.

Liverpool law firm, Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors, advised Woodbank on its acquisition.

Paul Abrams, corporate associate solicitor at the Penny Lane, Liverpool office of Gregory Abrams Davidson Solicitors, said: “We congratulate Janet and Woodbank on the acquisition of Datatech.

“It was a privilege to work closely with the team and advise on this transaction, which represents a next-key-step in the company’s ambitious growth strategy.”
