Commercial interiors firm delivering key Liverpool office projects

Altrincham commercial interiors company, Consensus Workspace, is delivering two key projects in Liverpool.

Peel L&P’s flexible workspace concept, ARRIVE, is set to expand for the first time from Salford’s MediaCity to Liverpool Waters, and Consensus is helping with the creation of new office space at the prestigious Princes Dock.

The project involves a refit of the ground floor at the multi-storey offices, replicating previous contracts at MediaCity.

Works comprise new glazed and solid partitioning, decoration, new floor coverings, mechanical and electrical additions and bespoke joinery creating individual office suites, open plan communal spaces, sustainable materials, breakout seating areas and increased communication booths.

The 4,800 sq ft space will be used for co-working, hybrid working and private meetings when it opens in March.

Canmoor Projects has also been working with Consensus Workspace to create more city centre communal office space, on the 15th floor of 20 Chapel Street, the 155,000 sq ft Grade A office building that currently hosts Ernst & Young, Orega, Police Mutual, Mason Owen, Barclays and Liverpool Football Club, among others.

The project includes a full strip out and refurbishment with new sustainable materials and a focus on communal working areas.

Both contracts are to be completed within 12 weeks to meet demand for office space in in the city.

Andy Plastow, director at Consensus Workspace, said: “Workplaces are in huge demand at the dock as Peel progresses its massive investment in the area – and Liverpool as a whole has a real buzz about it.

“Both new workspaces will tap into the amazing sense of community in Liverpool as well as its unique skyline, with large windows and lots of light.

“We have prioritised natural materials as much as possible to create warm and welcoming office hubs that really make the most of the settings.”
