Norcros chairman Gary Kennedy dies

Gary Kennedy, the chairman of Wilmslow-based bathrooms business Norcros has died after a period of illness.
In a statement this morning the company said: “The Board of Directors on behalf of the entire Group expresses its sincere condolences to Gary’s family and many friends.”
Also the chairman of food group Greencore, Gary Kennedy was a well known Irish business leader and had been the finance director of Allied Irish Bank and a non-executive director of Anglo Irish Bank following the financial crisis of 2008.
In January the company announced that David McKeith was stepping up to chair Norcros while Gary Kennedy took a leave of absence on health grounds.
McKeith, a former senior partner of PWC in Manchester, will continue in the role of acting board chair to support the transition of new chief executive Thomas Willcocks who will take over from Nick Kelsall from 31 March 2023.
