First phase of new £50m housing scheme handed over by developer Nexus Residential

One Baltic Square

Liverpool property developer Nexus Residential has completed the first phase of its £50m Baltic Triangle apartment scheme at One Baltic Square.

The initial 50 apartments have reached completion, meaning keys will be handed over to buyers.

Overall, One Baltic Square will deliver a flagship 296-unit, mixed-use project on the edge of Liverpool city centre.

Last year, Nexus announced a £19.5m funding injection from London-based Maslow Capital to deliver the development after completing the acquisition of One Baltic Square from YPG Developments for an undisclosed sum.

The centrepiece of the project will be an outdoor space for residents, a square styled around a typical Italian piazza, delivered at a cost of £1m, with a water feature incorporated into the design. Residents are also able to enjoy five rooftop gardens across the development, all with floral arches.

One Baltic Square will feature reception and concierge service, underground car parking and CCTV for added security.

Furthermore, mixed-use commercial units will be available within the building for coffee shops, restaurants and office spaces to operate, creating an ‘urban village’ within the Baltic Triangle.

Nexus Residential is partnering with Legacie Contracts, the construction arm of Liverpool firm Legacie Developments, which has driven forward construction on the site.

The scheme was promoted by international sales agent RW Invest, which successfully pre-sold all the new homes off-plan.

Nexus Residential managing director, Michael Gledhill, says completion of the first phase is a proud moment: “One Baltic Square is our standout residential development in Liverpool and will bring much needed high quality homes to an increasingly popular part of the city.

“We are proud to help create a new urban village in the heart of Liverpool offering luxury accommodation and practical facilities, as well as a prime location.

“It is fantastic to see the first phase complete, with the construction team now pressing ahead to get the rest of the homes ready.”
