Follow in Praetura’s footsteps – investment award category is open

For many businesses investing in their organisation, their local town, city, or region is as important as growing their bottom line.

Whether its investment in talent, creating new jobs or spaces, the rewards are often significant.

Which is why each year TheBusinessDesk.com’s North West Business of the Year Awards recognises this in its Investment category.

This award honours those businesses that have demonstrated their commitment to the region.

The shortlisted companies can either be new to the region or already here, but they will all be able to show a real commitment in terms of investing in facilities, people or products that will have a long-term benefit.

Take last year’s winner, Praetura Group, which beat off stiff competition from PwC and Scarborough Group International.

The group has been providing More Than Money to SMEs and founders since 2011 as a lender and investor.

The company includes Praetura Ventures and the Praetura Lending Division, which comprises five lending businesses: Praetura Asset Finance; Praetura Commercial Finance; Kingsway Finance; Praetura Invoice Finance and Zodeq.

Praetura has invested considerable time, money, and resources into Praetura, the wider region and the local business landscape. Not only has Praetura been helping founders, but it’s also been promoting diversity, sustainability, investing in talent and is aiming to double its team and further expand its portfolio over the next two years.

Commenting on its award, a Praetura spokesperson said: “A Praetura win at the TheBusinessDesk’s awards last year was fantastic. Not only was it great to receive recognition in the wider community, but the team were also absolutely over the moon. Thanks to all involved, it was a great event.”
