Are you a community focused business?

The call is out for community focused businesses doing something special in their community. Entries are being sought for the Business of the Year Awards as we look to recognise and honour other businesses across the North West that are making a difference to their community for this year’s awards celebrations.

Cardinal Global Logistics, a Manchester-based freight forwarding organisation, has been working tirelessly to benefit its local community in Wythenshawe.

Aiming to make a real difference, the company not only takes great strides to recruit local people and attract youngsters through its academy, but it also supports numerous community projects and initiatives to support each year through its charity committee, Cardinal Trust.

From mentoring in local primary schools and funding an annual year six trip to London, to partnering with the food bank, Message Trust, and donating to the annual Easter chick appeal for Francis House, the Cardinal team love to get involved and give back.

Its CEO Brian Hay, a well-known and respected

businessman, takes great pride in the support the Cardinal team continues to deliver and is often seen taking part in initiatives close to his heart.

The work in Wythenshawe by Cardinal Global Logistics saw the firm awarded the Community Impact Award at last year’s annual business celebrations.

The Community Impact Awards identifies a business or individual in the region that has demonstrated a commitment to ‘giving something back’ to the region, through CSR initiatives or charitable activities.
