City centre residential scheme notches £105m-worth of sales since January launch

One Port Street

Developer Select Property says demand for its One Port Street scheme in Manchester has surpassed its expectations.

The landmark residence currently under construction has sold £105m-worth of apartments since its global launch in January this year.

The development, located in the city’s Northern Quarter, will deliver 477 premium apartments when construction completes in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Selling more than £105m-worth of apartments represents two of the residence’s buildings now being sold out.

One Port Street will be the first development in Select Property’s flagship residential brand the ‘Prestige Collection’, which centres around luxury amenities and resident experience. Apartments range from one-bedroom to three-bedrooms.

Select Property expects the development to create at least 59 jobs and an estimated economic impact of £29.07m to the city once completed.

Adam Price, Select Property CEO, said: “Apartments at One Port Street are selling at a remarkable pace. Global demand has been strong, with a high number of UK lifestyle buyers investing and taking interest in the residence.

“We expect to see continued momentum from UK buyers as cautious optimism in the economy grows.

“One Port Street is benefiting from broader confidence in Manchester as a sound city to live and invest in, while more people are seeking truly premium living accommodation in the centre of the UK’s regional cities.”

He added: “Buyers also value our experience managing buildings in Manchester with Affinity Living, and are assured that One Port Street will be managed by Select Property’s own team.

“Ultimately, hitting over £105m in sales so soon is testament to the calibre of the premium proposition that we’re bringing to market.”

One Port Street aims to redefine city centre living by providing the amenities of a luxury hotel, giving residents the opportunity to socialise in any of the extensive communal areas, or allowing the privacy to enjoy the surroundings alone.

A grand lobby will be reminiscent of an hotel, centred around a 360° firepit with concierge service. There will also be a 2,000 sq ft leisure suite featuring a private swimming pool and spa pool, a state-of-the-art gym and separate fitness studio.

Residents can also enjoy a seventh floor rooftop terrace and a lounge overlooking the city, with casual space for working, relaxing and socialising.

Significant planting at the development will also create more than 22,000 sq ft of public green space, helping to integrate communities and to create a better connection between the Northern Quarter, Ancoats and Piccadilly – as well as promoting greener travel with EV charging points and cycle storage.
