Wealth at Work Group, a financial wellbeing and retirement specialist, has acquired employee engagement and pension communication specialist, Design Consulting, trading as Landscape, for an undisclosed sum.

Following this Landscape, based in Southwark, London, acquired London-based creative agency MakingGiants, formerly known as Ferrier Pearce, to expand its digital communication services and will trade as Landscape.

Group chief executive, David Cassidy, said: “We have had increasing demand for digital communications from large corporates and it is important we are a one stop shop for all requirements.

“We already deliver financial wellbeing and retirement services to millions of employees and pension scheme members and will continue to innovate to remain at the forefront in delivering these services to companies and occupational pension schemes alike.

“As client demand increases for digital services, we continue to invest in this area.”

He added: “Landscape already have a great reputation in our market, particularly in supporting occupational pension schemes. They bring a wealth of knowledge utilising client data and technology, as well as designing engaging content to provide effective digital communications, tools and interactive websites to drive employee and member behaviour, creating good learning experiences.

“Acquiring Making Giants means that Landscape has increased their capacity already. This opportunity helps them to build on their existing capability to ensure we continue to deliver digital communications in an ever-changing digital world.”

Ryan Sales, founding director at Landscape, said: “We are really excited to be joining the Wealth at Work group family.

“Landscape have long admired MakingGiants (formerly Ferrier Pearce) as they are highly regarded and have an established presence in the pensions and financial wellbeing market. We believe our clients will benefit from more innovation, increased engagement and better outcomes through our focus on evidence-based research and digital expertise.

“We’re extremely excited about the future direction of Landscape as this presents a fantastic opportunity to grow as we develop a truly market-leading proposition.”

These acquisitions follow recent announcements made from the group, with the acquisition of technology design and build firm DBD Digital Limited, as well as expanding services into Ireland through the purchase of Employee Financial Wellness to meet growing demand from its numerous global client companies.
