Sophie Lamb, head of solar, YLEM Energy

YLEM Energy, a leading provider of sustainable energy generation solutions based in Salford, has appointed Sophie Lamb as head of solar. In this newly created role, she will have responsibility for managing YLEM Energy’s solar design and development process, including overseeing a team of Solar Project Engineers and Designers, building relationships with installation partners and suppliers, and ensuring overall quality and customer satisfaction.

She has experience in the renewable energy industry having held operational and general management positions at Engenera Renewables, Arriva Transport and Go Northeast.

In addition to Sophie Lamb’s appointment, YLEM has also hired Chloe Gelacio and Sarah Lightfoot to the team as Solar Project Engineer and Development Manager respectively.

Estelle Rowe

Your Trust has appointed Estelle Rowe as its new chief executive. She has carried out the interim role since Andy King, left the organisation and has now officially been appointed the role. Previously she was deputy chief executive and finance director roles at the charity since 2017. Your Trust is an independent charity operating leisure and sport venues across Rochdale on behalf of the council including Touchstones Rochdale, Middleton Arena, Heywood Sports Village, Rochdale Leisure Centre, Littleborough Sports Centre and Hollingworth Lake Adventure & Water Activity Centre.

David Hackett, who joined MHA Moore and Smalley as a graduate trainee 16 years ago after graduating from Lancaster University, has been promoted to tax partner at the firm’s Preston office. He will contribute to strategic planning for MHA Moore and Smalley’s tax team and support clients in areas including Preston, Blackpool and Manchester.

Software development and digital transformation specialist, One Beyond, has announced four new senior appointments to its team. James O’Donovan is appointed as chief operating officer, Paul Green as chief commercial officer, David Harrison as strategic partnerships director and Don Grantham is the new chairman. The hires follow a period of record growth for the business, with One Beyond rebranding from DCSL GuideSmiths in 2022, following 16% revenue and headcount growth throughout 2021.

Myerson Solicitors has grown its residential property team with new senior associate, Carly Traverse. She returns to the Altrincham-based firm from Hill Dickinson where she has been a Real Estate Associate in their Liverpool office since 2017. She works on the sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold houses and apartments.

Commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has bolstered its national banking team with the lateral hire of banking and finance partner Debra Cooper. She joins from Shoosmiths where she was a banking partner specialising in real estate finance in addition to being co-head of the Manchester office. She brings more than 16 years’ experience to the team in the provision of advice to institutional lenders, debt funds, alternative lenders and borrowers on investment and development transactions and advises clients based across the UK, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Simon Lomiiko

Identity Consult has promoted Simon Lomiiko to director. He supports North West clients to deliver affordable, specialist and sustainable homes along with education buildings in the region. He’s been responsible for doubling the turnover of his area of the business in the past three years to £1.5m. He oversees a team across two offices in Preston and Salford alongside director Alex Atkinson. 

Identity Consult is project management and cost consultancy, employer’s agent and digital construction service business employing 70 people in offices in Salford, Preston, York and Sunderland.
