18 acre site on banks of Lake Windermere up for sale

An 18-acre site on the bank of Lake Windermere has been listed for sale.

YMCA Lakeside North Camp includes a range of buildings, boat house, landing stages and jetty with 300m of lake frontage.

The site has been owned by YMCA for 70 years.

Having invested £6.5m to build a new facility on the 55 acre South Camp, the older North Camp has been identified for disposal.

Graham Oatridge, CEO of YMCA Fylde Coast, said: “The sale of North Camp will allow continued investment in the south end of the site. We have a priority to add new outdoor activities to our programme, giving even more options for young people to engage in new experiences and we intend to secure Lakeside’s future for another 70 years.”
