Business lending provider, Simply Asset Finance, will create almost 10 jobs with the opening of a new Liverpool office, which will host its business development executive (BDE) team.

The specialist lender is based in London and has existing hubs in Glasgow and Belfast. Its Liverpool office is located in The Plaza building, in the city’s central business district.

Managing director, John Wiles, said: “We’ve recruited four so far and are looking for another four before the end of August.

“We’re seeing strong potential in the new recruits and excitement around the new venture from brokers and customers so the need for more team members could potentially be bigger soon.”

The opening signals Simply Asset Finance’s continued commitment to expanding its national presence to be able to further support new and existing customer relationships, it said.

The team will also seek to extend and develop its partnerships with commercial brokers, bringing the business’s lending solutions to fast-growing, and established small businesses in the North West and beyond.

The news follows impressive growth for the business, which recently saw the company achieve profits of £7.1m in 2022, doubling year-on-year and adding £110m to its loan book in 2022 alone.

Since inception Simply says it has championed small business’s growth and worked with them to lend more than £1bn to UK SMEs, funding in excess of 31,000 assets for around 6,400 customers.

The opening of the Liverpool office will increase the employee head count to 139 Simply team members across the UK.

John Wiles added: “We’re incredibly excited to make this next step in Simply’s growth, and as one of the North West’s main economic hubs, Liverpool is the perfect place for us to be.

“The opening of the new office in Liverpool is testament to our commitment to serve new and existing customer and brokers across the UK, utilising Simply Connect to enable businesses to access funds for growth.

“We’re also eager to open up opportunities for local budding talent to join us on the journey of building the next-generation of asset finance.”
