PropTech firm Node marks 1.5m sq ft milestone

Christian Anderton

Manchester PropTech firm, Node Technologies, has now activated more than 1.5 million sq ft, as it accelerates installation and management of its smart connectivity infrastructure across the UK.

The properties span key regional locations including Manchester, as well as Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool and Cambridge.

The business has an additional 1.05 million sq ft of space in delivery through the third quarter and second half of the year and a further 750,000 sq ft of space pending in its nationwide pipeline.

Key Node schemes include Birmingham’s 103 Colmore Row, recent winner of BCO Midlands’ ‘Best Commercial Workplace’ and Cadworks, Glasgow, the city’s first net zero office development.

Christian Anderton, founder and CEO at Node, said: “Buildings can only truly deliver on their smart capabilities if they have fit-for-purpose smart infrastructure at their core. This milestone is evidence that the built environment is increasing its commitment to be better and to design for customer service.

“Connectivity and enabling smart tech is critical from an asset-management perspective.

“Adoption of a fully-integrated, secure solution that supports operational technology requirements and drives net zero targets is a decision that forward-thinking landlords are embracing.”

Node designs to, or ahead of, WiredScore requirements, optimising and future-proofing the principles of building certification.

The Node managed solution removes the requirement for all tenant-level wayleaves, enhances occupational strategy and improves an asset’s sustainability by 80-90% in relation to fibre.
