Warrington-based Wain Estates has announced three new staff appointments as it continues to grow its land promotion division.

Senior project manager Dean Fisher and land manager Luke Hopkins together with land and planning surveyor Amelia Lewin have been recruited to work alongside Wain Land Promotion managing director Angela Heaney.

Dean has extensive experience of strategic land promotion and planning, having worked for a large strategic land promoter and housebuilder where he held similar project manager roles. Following an agency graduate placement, Luke has worked for the past two years identifying and securing sites across the North West fo housebuilder Bellway. Amelia, a graduate from Northumbria University, is working towards her RICS qualification and joins from Harrow Estates.

Angela said: “We have had notable successes, pushing into new areas and developing strong relationships to secure new sites and this will continue. Our people are key to this and it is an exciting time as we build a team based on the Wain ethos of integrity and doing the right thing.”

Wain Estates’ Land Promotion division is already promoting 9,300 residential homes on behalf of third party landowners, and is aspiring to evolve into one of the UK’s leading promoters.

Sam Hunt

Manchester-based QASSS, the dispute resolution provider to the home improvement and renewable energy sectors, has appointed Sam Hunt as head of operations support as the brand prepares to expand its offering even further.

As the dispute assist and claim assist services offered by QASSS continue to scale up, Sam will maintain operational efficiency across brands while raising awareness of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) among companies within the home improvement and renewable energy sectors. He built up his experience launching creative projects for the likes of GymShark, Castor, and MyCoach School before he went on to become head of digital marketing at Premier EPOS. He later joined the Barks Group as group managing director.

He said: “As the home improvement sector continues to grow, effective dispute resolution will become an increasingly important factor in preserving companies’ reputation and ensuring profitability. Keeping disputes with customers outside of the courtroom is key, and ADR provides a lifeline to businesses in the form of cheaper, quicker resolutions so they can get on with their jobs.”

Ross Hayden

Vista Insurance Brokers is celebrating two internal promotions to its newly-formed executive team.

Ross Hayden, head of corporate, has been promoted to director of corporate alongside Richard Whitham, currently head of creative (South) to director of schemes and affinity partnerships.

These new promotions come as a result of continued growth within the Manchester-based company. Both will be welcomed to the newly-formed executive team, including June Hibbins Ball (COO), Peter Warburton (director), Vaughan Rudd (director), Peter Rusby (CFO) and Gavin Ruben (CEO).

Nick Eary

Engineering solutions provider ELE Advanced Technologies has appointed highly experienced Nick Eary as business development director.

Nick has spent more than 25 years in sales and business development in both the aerospace and automotive sectors building strong customer relationships over that period.

His role will be based from ELE’s new 5,000 sq m manufacturing facility site at Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, Nelson.

He said: “I am relishing the opportunity to help ELE grow its business, both with new and current customers. I’m also looking forward to seeking fresh opportunities to develop collaborative strategies to help generate new business opportunities.”

Manesh Pandya, chief executive of ELE, said: “We look forward to the expertise Nick will bring to the role in pursuit of our strategy of growing the business in core markets and expanding into new emerging sectors.”

ELE Advanced Technologies specialises in the aerospace, industrial gas and commercial diesel engine sectors.

Olivia Dawson and Hasham Lodhi

Farnworth Rose has welcomed two new starters to its team in Nelson.

Hasham Lodhi has joined the private client team, having worked in the legal sector since 2021 following the completion of his Law Degree. He is currently completing his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law. Hasham will advise clients on wills, lasting powers of attorney and probate matters.

Olivia Dawson has joined the residential property team. She has worked in conveyancing since 2020 and has recently completed her LPC and Masters qualifications after gaining her Law Degree.

Operations manager, Sophie Holdsworth, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Hasham and Olivia to Farnworth Rose. We are continuing to grow all departments and have plans to launch further new services later this year.”

Avensure has made two senior hires as the Manchester-based HR and employment law consultancy continues to grow, welcoming Neil Gouldson as consultant solicitor and Leslie Baker as a senior advocate.

Gouldson is an experienced employment lawyer, having worked in the field for more than 20 years. Following roles as partner and head of employment law at several commercial law firms in Manchester and Liverpool, he will assist Avensure in enhancing client experience and focusing on delivering law firm quality in an ABS model.

Leslie Baker was called to the Bar in 2003 and is an experienced employment lawyer whose specialisations include protected disclosure, whistle blowing, industrial dispute resolution and discrimination claims. He has a proven record on appellant appeal matters, with a keen eye for detail.
